who am i?
I’m Lindsey, a 26-year-old American-Israeli living in Tel Aviv. A firm believer in the power of storytelling, I am a writer and photographer focused on showcasing the fight for Israeli democracy and shedding light on the injustices of the occupation. When I’m not behind the lens, (or my keyboard), I work as a writer at the New Israel Fund, the leading NGO promoting democracy, human rights, and equality in Israel.
I fell in love with digital photography at eight years old and film at fourteen, with dreams of being a photojournalist for National Geographic. I eventually outgrew that dream (for the most part), and set my camera aside for a while during university and graduate school. But I’m back behind the lens with stories to tell and a renewed excitement for documenting the world around me.
I spend most of my free time reading, writing, flexing my creative muscles, and hunting down the best matcha in TLV. I am exceptionally loud and almost always late but mostly, I care about making the world a better, more just place.
